Ennis Community Development Project.

Introduction

Welcome to the web page of Ennis Community Development Project, a voluntary community organisation funded under the Community Development Support Programme. The organisation is managed by a voluntary Board of Management.

Remit

The Community Development Support Programme provides financial assistance to fund community development projects in disadvantaged areas. It also provides support for self-help work in specific target groups in order to help them articulate their point of view and participate in a process of personal and community development. The group hosts a drop-in 2 mornings a week which offers information, support, advocacy, peer support and a link to services in the area on a range of issues including housing, health, work rights and entitlements. Other projects include the Traveller Homework Club & Parent Support Programme, the Immigrant Group as well as research and support to community based organisations from both communities. Ennis CDP works in partnership with other relevant organisations.

Target Group

Ennis CDP works with, and for, people from Traveller, refugee and asylum seeker communities.
