Grundtvig Training the Trainers Grant

The Grundtvig mobility action offers those involved in the delivery of adult education in the formal and non-formal sectors the opportunity to develop skills in areas such as coaching, counselling skills and training methodology. A broad range of courses are being conducted throughout Europe and can be found on the Comenius Grundtvig Course Database: Grundtvig Database

Grants are available to attend a training course, seminar or work placement for 2 days to 4 weeks in eligible European countries. Additional courses, which have not been developed under Comenius or Grundtvig can be sourced on the websites of National Agencies of other countries. Check the Europa Server for links to websites.

How do I avail of a Grundtvig 3 Mobility Grant?

1. Identify a training course or potential work shadow partner in another eligible European country and provisionally reserve a place/arrange a time to go.

2. Complete a Grundtvig 3 application form and submit it to Léargas by the following deadlines:

30th April 2010 (for training starting between 1 October 2010 and 31 January 2011)
15th Sept 2010 (for training starting between 1 February 2011 and 31 March 2011)

What will the grant cover?

The grant awarded will not normally exceed EUR 1500 and will be calculated to contribute towards:

travel and insurance - up to 100% of costs will be covered;

the course fee up to a maximum of Euro 750 and preparation costs if applicable;

accommodation and subsistance grant.

How will I receive my grant?

Your grant will be paid by cheque in two parts; 80% before you attend the course and 20% when you submit your completed Final Report Form to Léargas. It is important to read How to complete your Final Report Form before submitting your Final Report to Léargas.
