Grundtvig In Service Training Grant (Adult Education Sector)
Upcoming Deadline 15th September 2009 for activities starting on or after the 1st December 2009.

The Grundtvig In Service Training action provides funding for those involved in the delivery of adult education in the formal and non-formal sectors to enhance their skills and broaden their awareness of lifelong learning within Europe.

The training must take the form of a formal structured course of at least 5 days duration up to a maximum of 6 weeks. Job shadowing/placement and attendance at conferences now come under a new action called Grundtvig Visits and Exchanges for Adult Education Staff

Courses can be found on the Comenius Grundtvig
Training Database

Courses sourced outside of the database can also be considered.

Please ensure that if you are a language teacher who wishes to do language training that the training you select should provide teaching tools and methodologies rather than pure language skills.

Please also check out the link to the Grundtvig - In Service Training page - where you will find all the information you need about the grant etc.

The deadlines for 2010 are

15th January for activities starting on or after the 1st April 2010
30th April for training activities starting on or after the 1st September 2010
15th September for training activities starting on or after the 1st January 2011
Late applications cannot be accepted.

When writing your application relate the course as much as possible to your professional development and work – there is also a checklist also on the inside front cover of the application which we advise applicants check before submitting their application.
