Leaving Cert English- Ennis

Co. Clare VEC’s Back to Education Initiative (BTEI) will commence its Leaving Certificate programme for 2010 with the introduction of its Leaving Cert English class beginning at the end of February. The course is open to all but priority will be given to people who have not completed their Leaving Certificate. This course is an ideal entry route for people wishing to return to education and support is provided to students with the assistance of the Adult Education Guidance Service. Classes will be held at the Adult Education Centre in Clonroad in Ennis, each Monday and Wednesday morning between February and June and will recommence again in September.

It is expected that over 30 adults will sit their Leaving Cert in English and Mathematics at the centre in June this year, while another group will take subjects at Junior Cert level.

The BTEI provides flexible part-time learning opportunities for young people and adults throughout the county and is funded by the Department of Education and Science and part financed by the European Social Fund as part of the National Development Plan.
